Hawkins-Poe Monthly Newsletter June 2024
Posted by Hawkins-Poe on June 17, 2024
Despite the challenge of high interest rates, we are seeing resilience in our real estate market. The
number of closed sales reported by the NWMLS was up 6% compared to this month last year. There
is a positive shift in inventory and we are finally seeing an increase in the number of homes on the
market!
The NWMLS reported a 41.4% increase in the number of properties listed for sale compared to May
of 2023, bringing more choices for buyers and allowing the market to accrue some much-needed
inventory! For sellers, an increase in inventory will likely increase the number of days listings are on
the market. Don’t fret - it may take longer to sell as we go into summer, but stay patient and keep an
eye on the market!
